MCPE 0.9.5 freezes on Nexus S (running stock 4.1.2)

After playing a level anywhere from 30 seconds to 15 minutes, the game freezes and locks up the phone. The only way to reboot is to pop the battery out.

This may be a regression of issue MCPE-42.
