Zombies and Skeletons do not die from sun or splash potions.

When spawned in with spawn eggs Zombies and Skeletons do not seem to take damage from sun.
When hit by player it takes damage.
When using the effect @e[r=1000,type=creeper/zombie] 100 100 the output says it executed the command but does not damage the Zombie/ creeper.
