Redstone texture bug

when you place Redstone down in, ie: an L shape, the corner Redstone texture seams to try and make a curve but it shows a very stretched out image. Sometimes the Redstone doesn't even have a texture, but only when its going around a corner.

If you connect Redstone like in the second picture, the textures go stretched and the Redstone, when it has a torch powering it, doesn't power up.
