On singleplayer, as well as on a LAN server, chicken eggs when thrown do not spawn chickens. I tried with at least 50 eggs to no prevail. Also, the breaking animation of the eggs when hitting an object does not occur.

What I expected to happen was...:
At least one chicken to spawn

What actually happened was...:
No chickens spawned

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Collect many chicken eggs
2. Throw repeatedly on the ground
3. Notice chickens do not spawn and breaking animation does not occur
