Ender Pearl Not Working in Creative Mode

In every version with an ender pearl, you can not throw the pearl in creative.

What I expected to happen was
to teleport when I threw the ender pearl.

What actually happened was
the ender pearl not being thrown.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Get an ender pearl in creative.
2. Try Throwing it.
3. Miserably fail.
