You Won't Bounce On Slime Blocks If On Very Edge

Hello, what I've noticed is that if you jump/land on the very edge of a slime block (on any side), you won't bounce. Instead, it will have the properties of a normal block. For example, you will take fall damage. This makes it very annoying in maps, and I have died a few times to this.
