Messeges from previous tab completion events don't show up after changing focused height

If you set the focused height of the chat to 20 pixels, open chat, run /toggledownfall (to get the "Toggled down fall" message), use tab completion (I discovered it with /give @a minecraft:stone<TAB>), then set the focused height back to max, then open chat, the tab completion results don't show up. If this is my own personal error, please comment below, if not please confirm.
