Enchant Drops FPS

Enchanted items cause a huge FPS drop. The first screenshot is how much FPS I got when looking through enchanted books in the creative menu, the second shows my FPS after closing the inventory. As you can see by the screenshot names/times, they were taken in quick succession so I didn't do anything else.
