placing in the wrong spot

I aim at a stair and it places the block in the wrong spot. the game also puts the "wire-frame" thingy around the wrong block. Ill include some screenshots to describe it better. I didnt do much testing to see how many blocks are effected by this. not sure if it only effects stairs or not. Also i should add this only happens when im looking at the stair from certain angles. The images I attatch will show me aiming at a block but the game highlights the wrong block and the stone slab shows where the block is placed. Sorry for my crappy english skills, not very good at it
