Delay in placing and removing blocks.

I'm not entirely sure whether this is just my computer, but I have an issue: when I place and remove blocks, it takes about a second or two to show/remove the texture of the block I place. This is becoming more and more of an issue for me, as I like the new snapshots, but it's delaying a lot! Please help soon
