A small bug/glitch

I was on single player checking stuff out, and I noticed something, one I was breaking blocks

it took like maybe 2 or 3 seconds for it to disapear, and when I tried to place blocks down, it was invisible block for a second, I was wondering if anyone noticed this, or is it just bad connection
