Movement issues with Boats and Pistons

Occasionally, when using pistons to raise yourself in a boat where previously there was water, the boat will sink into the solid block attached to the piston. A similar occurrence happens when you lower the piston with a design that releases water above the pistons, but you will still sink into the block above the now retracted piston, putting you one level lower than the water.
