Farmland and dirt path are rendered too dark when surrounded by solid blocks with Smooth Lighting enabled

When you surround farmland by a solid block it gets a shadow and renders darker.
That makes it difficult to see if it is hydrated or not.
This only happens with smooth lighting turned on.
