Banner Crash

Whenever I go on 14w30a or higher and try and see even the item of the banner in the creative inventory I crash... every time I just crash. It won't let me see the item, it won't let me craft it, place it or /setblock,/give and /replaceitem! It really is frustrating since I love the idea of having banners! PLEASE HELP ME
P.S This may not be a bug I just want help.
