Game freezes whenever a notification for the iPod pops up

What I expected to happen was...: after the notification appeared the game would resume

*What actually happened was: after the notification disappeared the game froze and I had to reload the application
Describe what happened here: the application froze up

Steps to Reproduce:
1... Launch Minecraft Pocket Edition
2. .. Trigger a notification such as a battery warning or other app notification
3. ... Click dismiss or close on notification box . Go back to MCPE an the game is frozen
