When using Ctrl + Q and dropping items into a hopper it duplicates them

What I expected to happen was...:

It should just pick up the single stack and be on it's way!

What actually happened was...:
Describe what happened here
It picked up the stack, but in the hopper it showed 2 stacks of the item

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Get a stack or partial stack of an item
2. Use Ctrl+Q to drop it into a hopper
3. Look inside, there will sometimes be multiple stacks
