Death by lightning bolt claims players go up in flames

When you die because of a lightning bolt you will get the message:
"[PLAYERNAME] went up in flames"
or when you where fighting a mob
"[PLAYERNAME] walked into fire while fighting [MOBNAME]"

I am not sure if this in intended, because when you are in water you aren't really burning and you get still these messages
