disappearing farm animals

For some reason this bug reporter does not have the MCPE versions...

I have an android Nexus 7 with 4.4.4 operating system. As of the 0.9.4 update all of my animals have disappeared. I had a full farm (fully functioning and no disappearing) and I had other animals in my world roaming free. Now all I have are 2 sheep and 6 chickens.( Which keep disappearing more every time I play. I started out with 10 chickens, 4 sheep, 2 pigs, 4 cows) Now I can not find any animals in my world, and the ones I still have can not enter love mode so I can try replenishing numbers of the Two types of animals in my world...
I have followed recommended pen sizes as well with no results.
Why are my animals disappearing? I would like to have my farm back!
