Kind of a chunk error

I loaded up a MC world in 14w30c to check the new optimizations in speed and such. I loaded a default world in creative mode. I was flying around and messing with the video settings to see what were the best settings for best performance. I noticed a villlage but it was weird; a row of chunks wasn't loading and it had only a few blocks that repeated through every chunk. See image below:
