Servers in the 1.8 snapshots (most recently 14w30b) lag very badly.

The server lags horribly upon joining, and will not catch up to what the player is doing, and the player will eventually lag out with a "ReadTimeOut Exception"

This has been an issue since Ocean Monuments were added.
