Villagers get don't turn into witches when hit with lightning

When a villager is hit with lightning it is supposed to turn into a witch.

When I summoned a LightningBolt entity on a villager it disappeared with no death animation.

1.Summon or spawn a Villager.
2.Summon a LightningBolt entity on top of the Villager
3.Villager should disappear
