Ladders are invisible when placed with a command

When typing a command or activating a command block to place a ladder on a wall, the ladder appear but is invisible. I tried from all directions to put a ladder on a wall and it's the same each time. The ladder is there but invisible.

It stays invisible even if we save and quit, then return to the game.

I did not try in the Nether or The End
