Chunk overwriting

I started my game as usual and noticed, that my wheat farm was gone. Instead where was the same beach was at the beginning. Then i went down to the strip mine and noticed, that some strips where filled up again. (clearly a sign that Herobrine IS a feature)

my guess is that a chunk could not be loaded and was then overwritten.
