Lag Issue

I have a CPU with 4 gigs of ram dedicated to minecraft but am experiencing really bad block lag as well as with doors they dont close and it turns into a battle in my house 28b I didn't have this problem I understand you need to polish the code but lag on win7 x64 makes the game unplayable
