Falling to death from spawn

Every time I make a new game or start certain worlds, it loads the world. But when you normally spawn, you are instantly on the ground to start the game. However, whenever I start a game, I fall from a huge height without even doing anything, thus losing all my lives and having to respawn. This makes it impossible for me to play.
