hoppers that transfer items to trap chest does not cause the trapped chest to emit redstone power

place a trapped chest now behind the chest place a repeater that can send the trapped chest powers away from chest, then put a redstone reliant block like note block or redstone lamp. place an item in hopper it transfers into chest with out redstone signal.
