Same player 2 times in game

I was playing on an vanilla minecraft server! I was the only player that was online but when I leaved the server the server said 1/30 players online at the server selection screen! I logged in to see what happend and then I saw myself! I saw myself as an player but it didn't do anything. I tried to hit him but that didn't work!
