Server console closes as soon as it is opened, cannot host a server.

Server launcher closes as soon as it is opened.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Have the specific environment to reproduce the issue
2. Download either the minecraft_server.1.7.10.exe or .jar
3. Launch the server

Actual results: The console opens for less than a second and closes right away.

Expected results: The console would stay open and i would be able to host the server.

Note:
I can play minecraft 1.7x in both single player and multiplayer. This issue is about not being able to host my own server. I was able to host a server in minecraft 1.5x but I never tried in 1.6x.
Please tell me what logs do you need and where to get them to resolve this issue.
