GUI flickering and sometimes in-game flickering

Basically my screen and GUI flicker constantly and it is pretty noticeable. It also happens constantly. I asked my friends if they had this same issue and they don't. I'm not sure if it is because I used a program called World Painter to create maps and import them to Minecraft. I assume that mainly because the issues started to happen after that.
