Bug when I change to spectator mode and the mobs

When I change to Spectator mode, all the mobs desappear, and I can't put on any mob to watch what is the mob watching. I want to practice the Spectator mode with many mobs, but all the mobs desappear and I can't.
I'm in hard difficulty
