Weird custom Biome layouts

Created a custom world with Mega Taiga biome set and the rest of the custom settings were left as is.

Got some very weird lava lake and water chunks loading next to one another and where the lava and water met, it didn't always convert to obsidian. Also it seemed very sectioned. and cut with no blending.
