Instant crash upon loading a world

The game starts up fine but when I try to create or load a world in the latest snapshot it seems to crash completely.

The issue appears to be the rendering of minecart chests. (Read through the report and tested what I found and the game crashed upon placing a minecart with a chest in it.)
