Game shuts down every time pressing 'e' to open inventory

Playing single player. Cheats on. Put in cheat for /give 'name' double_plant 64 175... immediately shut down and now every time I log back on and press 'e', it shuts off.

NOTE: Game shuts off when trying to access survival inventory. When accessing creative inventory, it open normally.

Steps taken to try and fix issue:
-Tried switching game mode from creative-survival, vice versa
-Tried moving to new area
-Tried closing and re-loading minecraft launcher.
