Pigs spawning in Dark Oak Trees

I was wandering through the world of Minecraft when I stumbled upon a pig inside a dark oak tree. He wasn't dying and there was another one near me also inside a tree. he was inside the leaves so he did not break any leaves or anything but he was sitting there not moving.
