Using inexistent damage value at /give cause unknown texture

If the command /give is used to give an item using an inexistent damage value for that item it shows unknown texture.
Example: use /give @p stone 1 7
/give @p arrow 1 15
/give @p arrow 1 345
/give @p map 1 1
