Cave View Glitch

If you dig down a 2 x 2 and place 2 fences in front of you, jump and place a redstone block infront of you as your head falls into it, you should be able to see through it and see through the map to find dungeons, and all sorts of caves. Doesn't happen all the time but does happen often.
