System hangs/crashes when putting TNT next to a trapped chest, then opening the chest.

I put down a trapped chest.

I put a TNT block directly behind the trapped chest.

I opened the chest. It opened, and I heard the hissing of the TNT.

I tried to close the chest, but nothing happened.

After a few seconds, the crash report window came up saying it was a "Ticking memory connection".
