Dying other peoples wolves

It all started going on multiplayer and locating a wolf, taming it, then dying its collar.

Unfortunately i found out from one of my friends, he could also dye my wolf.

This leads to insecurity of wolves only being dyable by the owner, and can lead to confusion if you dyed the wolfs collar a specific color and someone colors over it.
