Pressure Plate /fill disappearing glitch

I wanted to make a big floor of stone pressure plates, and so I typed /fill x1 y1 z1 x2 y2 z2 stone_pressure_plate (I forget what the coords are) and instead of making a floor of pressure plates, the floor of quartz ore beneath it disappeared!
