Item Frame issue

Greetings,

I have removed items from an item frame once before and the item disappears, I look above the area, below and at the world spawn area (very first spawn area) just in case. This has occured twice and couldn't screen shot due to the speed the item despawns or vanishes.

Not sure if this is a bug.
