Piston Extending when it shouldn't

Reproduce:

1. Open a new superflat,
2. dig 2 blocks down,
3. Place a piston at 1 block height,
4. Place a redstone block ON the piston,
5. Place a redstone block under the piston,
6. Break the redstone block under the piston.
