Unable to use Actual Multiple Monitors

I frequently record and livestream Minecraft videos, and I use a dual monitor setup. I play Minecraft fullscreen on the primary monitor, and use chat programs and my recording software on the secondary monitor. Annoyingly, I have to minimize the game window in order to access the secondary monitor. So I downloaded Actual Multiple Monitors, which has a setting that allows me to access the secondary monitor in other fullscreen games. I do not know why Minecraft does not allow me to access my other monitor, but it is very frustrating.
