Moving Items in Inventory is Glitched

Playing on my world, I went into my inventory to put something into a chest. I tried to move it, but the # of items in the stack and damage counter were un-centered. The only mods installed on my client are Rei's Minimap, and MCPatcher. This has never happened to me before.
