Destroy tall grass = Random plant texture flashes

While I was creating an area for my house, in a dark wood forest if that matters, I was clearing grass, tall grass, etc. But I noticed something, whenever I destroyed a tall grass, I got some other plant texture stretched to fit 2 blocks. This texture is only there for a millisecond, so I didn't notice for a while.
