Redstone pathing logic is broken

I was wiring up a contraption using the new mechanic that allows a line of slime blocks to be pushed by 1 sticky piston. Upon doing so I place 1 repeater and then tried to wire it to a button. It powers and the contraption works but the direction of the redstone wiring is messed up
