Server connection issue

When I try to connect to any online server, massive or small, that is not hosted on my network, I cannot connect. When I try to connect, I get an error in Minecraft saying, "java.net.ConnectException: Connection timed out: no further infromation:." This only occurs on my home network, however, say I connect to another network that is not mine, I can connect with no problems to any online server.
**Side note, I can connect to any server that is not a Minecraft server, such as a Team Fortress 2 server, without any issues.
