minecraft 1.4.2 laucher crashes and doesn't open the game

What I expected to happen was that the launcher would open the game.

What actually happened was that the launcher kept closing and didn't open the game.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. I opened the Minecraft.exe , the launcher appears
2. i already have set my account with the 1.7.9 version
3. i click ''Play'', the laucher take a time to load something.
4. it closes and in the development console it says the thing above.
