Customized world takes forever to create

I was anxious to finally try out the customization of worlds, so I tried out the presets. Everything fine there, done in under one minute.

then I randomized the first two pages but left pages three and four completely alone.
and waited. long. very long ...
too long, in my humble opinion, that's why I finally killed the process structure ...
what's wrong here?
