Player will move on its own or build

While I was creating a house in creative, I was flying in the air and I tried placing blocks but they wouldn't place. I had to click it several times to get it to place. As soon as that happened, I tried flying back and it worked but moved me farther then I wanted to move. Also, usually when I am playing the game and I want to run or jump, it wont allow me.
