Launcher Crashes

When I hit play, the green bar goes across, then the screen closes, new window opens then it crashes.

What I expected to happen was...:
the new window to open then be able to play the game.

What actually happened was...:
it crashes. cant even play the game. bought it is December, and have yet to be able to play
